A team aligning research, product, and technology in one direction

For eight years, I have studied child and family studies with one dream: to help create a world where every parent and child can be happy. I wanted to contribute through research, but I came to realize that even the best research takes far too long to reach individual families in real life.

Parentlyze began from my search for a way to shorten that gap. I wanted to offer practical support to parents who deeply want to raise their children well but are feeling anxious right now.

I hope parents can use Parentlyze to build a stronger parenting philosophy and form healthier relationships with their children. If Parentlyze can be even a small help on that journey, that alone would be deeply meaningful to me.

Parents are the people who understand their children more deeply than anyone else. Parentlyze will always stand beside them as a steady partner.

I studied electrical and electronic engineering at Yonsei University, working across hardware, robotics, drones, embedded systems, AI, blockchain, web backend and frontend, and cross-platform app development. Through research and award-winning hackathon projects, I gained experience solving real problems. Over time, I became more certain that technology should be used not just as a tool, but as a force that changes society.

Korean society has grown quickly, but I felt it still lacks a culture that takes emotional sustainability and personal emotional growth seriously. My relationship with my parents was not smooth growing up, and I believe its impact is still significant today. The parent-child relationship in childhood is not just a memory; it shapes the foundations of how we think and feel. That is why I have long cared about helping parents and children build healthy bonds early on. Yet in reality, parents have few chances to learn and practice better ways of communicating. Even with the best intentions, it is hard to know objectively how specific words affect a child in real conversation.

I created Parentlyze to address this problem. Using AI voice analysis, it helps parents and children examine their conversations and discover healthier ways to communicate. It gives parents objective visibility into how their words may land with their child, along with personalized feedback for improvement. This is not generic parenting advice. It is a solution designed to help parents and children build better relationships through actual conversations.

I believe Parentlyze can change parent-child relationships and, in time, contribute to positive change across Korean society. If healthy communication between parents and children becomes a cultural norm, the future shaped by those children can become warmer and more sustainable. I hope Parentlyze becomes a practical catalyst that helps parents and children grow closer.

One day, I had a major fight with my mother. We hurt each other more deeply than anyone else could, and that made me ask why and how people who love each other can wound each other so much.

As I sat with that question, I came to think that perhaps we hurt one another precisely because we are bound together by love. If that is true, could the same love that drives conflict also become the basis for a healthier relationship? That question led me to study the parent-child relationship.

I believe the roots of a healthy relationship begin in honest, warm everyday conversation and emotional exchange. Yet conversations like that are harder than they seem, because we often do not know how to recognize and communicate what we truly feel.

By analyzing everyday parent-child relationships, Parentlyze offers concrete and practical actions people can actually take. Rather than deciding who is right or wrong, it supports the building of healthier relationships through the conversations people already share. That is why I believe I can keep pursuing the answer to my question through Parentlyze.

Since childhood, I have wanted to contribute to a world where children can grow up healthier and happier. To turn that aspiration into something real, I studied child and family studies and worked to build not only academic knowledge but also hands-on experience.

Along the way, I joined activities such as campaigns to raise awareness of missing children and volunteer work for local children. Parentlyze grew naturally out of that same commitment. It is a platform that helps parents share their concerns remotely and supports the restoration of parent-child relationships. I am convinced that this platform is more than a parenting service. It is a practical child-centered platform aimed at children's emotional stability and development.

I joined this project because I deeply relate to that philosophy and wanted my training and experience in child and family studies to contribute in a meaningful way. Going forward, I hope to keep helping Parentlyze grow into a more trusted and effective parenting support tool by grounding our work in child development and family dynamics and by suggesting practical directions for action.

While working as an assistant in a developmental psychology lab at Yonsei University, I met many parents raising children in very different circumstances. What I learned from those conversations was that parent-child relationships are far more complex than they may appear, and that every family has its own way of trying to do its best for a child.

The relationship formed with parents in childhood continues to shape us even in adulthood. The roots a child grows determine the kind of flower that child may one day become. Parents try to guide their children toward better directions through everyday conversation, but they often run into invisible barriers along the way. I came to see those parenting barriers as a social challenge we need to solve together.

Parentlyze's goal of carefully understanding the different concerns of every child and every family, and of offering coaching that truly fits each child, closely matches the values I care about. I believe that easing parents' burdens and making one family's conversations warmer can change a child's future and, beyond that, the emotional temperature of society.

When the conversation within one family changes, one child's heart can change too, and that heart can grow up to change the world. I believe that planting those small seeds of change together will eventually become a forest that transforms the world.
